Wild Game Food Milo is a grain sorghum that was specifically developed for use as a wildlife food supply. Wild Game Food Milo (WGF Milo) is short in stature making it easily accessible by deer and turkey. WGF Milo has a bitter taste when it is immature allowing it to reach maturity by avoiding heavy grazing pressure. After the seed matures, the bitter taste fades encouraging a variety of wildlife to come and consume the dark red grain that matures at the top of the 2 – 4 foot tall stalk. WGF Milo is readily consumed by deer (both mule and whitetail) and turkey as well as ground feeding birds such as dove, quail, and pheasant. Trophy Magnet WGF Milo matures in approximately 100 days. Planting dates are mid May through June. Planting rate is 3 – 8 lbs/acre.
